I did the tutorial in PSP9, but I’m sure it can be made in other versions as well.

This is what we are going to make:

You will need:

PSP

Plugins:

Mehdi

FM-tile tools

Gradient tiff002

2 tubes

2 Photos

Ready? Okay let’s begin

Take this clip with you, so you can see where you are in the tutorial

Step 1:

Open the picture Midsommer 2

Step 2:

Image resize – 540 x 357 pixels, all layers checked.

Step 3:

In your material palette, foreground Gradient tiff002 with these settings:

Step 4:

Right Click and Promote layer to Raster Layer

Activate your Rectangel Tool with these settings:

Draw a rectangel on the picture.

Step 5:

Activate  Crop tool and crop to Layer Opaque

Merge visible

Minimise for now.

Step 6:

Open a new image 640 x 480

Flood fill with the gradient.

Adjust – Blur – Gaussian Blur

Step 7:

Effects – Plugin Mehdi – Sorting Tiles

Step 8:

Open A day at the fair – Copy – Paste as a new layer.

Plugins – FM- tile tools – blend Emboss two times

Set blend mode to Soft light, and lower the opacity to 30

Step 9:

Open the Midsommer image, you minimised, Copy

Back to the other Image, Edit paste as a new layer

Step 10:

Effects – 3 d effects – Drop shadow

Repeat with minus 2 in vertical and horizontal

Step 11:

Activate your bottom layer

New rasterlayer

Open blue power mass, and in you material palette find that image, these settings:

Flood fill the layer

Step 12:

Effects – Reflections effects – Kalaidoscope

Repeat this 2 times so you have the effect on the image 3 times

Merge visible

Step 13:

Open and Copy the blue jay tube

Paste as a new layer

Image resize with these settings:

Resize 6 times!! Why? Because you NEVER resize at tube more than 85 % at the time.

Step 14:

Move the bird down to the right border, drop shadow

Merge visible

Step 15:

Image – Add borders – 2 pixels white,

then 2 pixels blue

and again 2 pixels white

Step 16:

Add a new layer, activate your text tool, and find a font you like.

Ad some text and your name

Step 17:

Merge visible and Export as a .jpg file.

You are done.
